Prostitution arrest made at Fishers spa
A woman was arrested Tuesday on a charge of prostitution following an undercover sting at a Fishers spa. Rui Qing Xie, 56, was taken into custody at the Relax Spa, 7245 Fishers Landing Drive, near 116th Street and Allisonville Road. Police said they had received several complaints about possible prostitution activity at the spa before the bust.
Old Northside apartment projects reviving two buildings
Flock Real Estate Group is investing $1 million to refurbish side-by-side apartment buildings at the northeast corner of 13th and Alabama streets, and Englewood Group is spending $3.6 million to convert a former church across the street.
Specialty grocer on wish list for MSA development
Flaherty & Collins, the developer of the 28-story tower, “would love to have a Whole Foods” or similar grocer as a retail tenant. With one Marsh two blocks away and another under construction nearby, the project begs the question whether the area can support three groceries.
Roundup: Thirsty Scholar opening at 16th and Penn
The coffee, beer and wine bar in the Penn Arts building is expected to open next week. Other restaurant and bar openings are set for Mass Ave, along with an Italian chain coming to River Crossing.
