restaurants, a company spokesman said today.
The chain, which promotes itself as the “nation’s largest
and fastest-growing privately owned daytime-only restaurant,” hopes to have its first restaurant open locally within
the next year, spokesman Chris Tomasso said.
The restaurant, typically open from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., specializes
in breakfast, brunch and lunch items.
Tomasso said the company could have its first franchisee signed within four
months. He declined to divulge potential locations for the first restaurant.
“We want it to be in
the most high-profile area as possible to help with the success of a restaurant that would come after that,” he said.
First Watch has 80 restaurants in 11 states, including Ohio and Missouri in the Midwest.
