  1. $44.6M owed in restitution and a civil suit for $154M of improperly used tax payer money for the charter schools. The state will be lucky if the recoup $5M. Surely the state can do a better job of auditing these “schools” to catch fraud before losing that much money.

  2. More wining from the whole charter schools scam. Remember folks the is money that was stolen from your kids education. Money the public schools will never get back.

  3. Who at the IN Dept of Ed is responsible for charter schools and how many times does this have to happen before measures are put into place to stop the fraud?

And no jail time?? Ryan Mears strikes again? “In addition to accepting responsibility, Clark waived his right to appeal the sentence.” I WOULD, TOO, FOR A SWEET DEAL LIKE THIS.

The agreement also stipulates that Clark may face forfeiture of assets valued at $1.26 million. The restitution owed—$44.6 million—is to be paid jointly with any co-defendants convicted in the case. YES PLEASE!!

    1. You’re blaming the Marion County prosecutor for a federal plea deal negotiated out of the U.S. Attorney’s Office by an acting prosecutor since the President hasn’t named a replacement?
