  1. Sure, lets rush into passage to save our jobs! I thought legislators were elected to “serve their citizens” and do what is best for all, including the entire country. It seems that keeping their jobs is more important. Sas message on how the system has changed. Many of these should be sent back to the private sector.

  2. Those voting “No” are voting for the largest tax increase in the history of our nation! In addition, a “NO’ vote means less to protect the border as well and a “NO” vote means “no” to a dome to protect against nuclear missiles! Go ahead Republicans…vote with the Dems and seal your own fate!

    1. It is NOT a tax increase to simply allow the expiration of an earlier tax cut — particularly when that expiration date was written as a cynical ploy to hide the full cost of the tax cut. The biggest share of the national debt right now was caused by this very kind of Republican tax cut, so anyone truly fiscally responsible would gladly allow it to expire. In any case, for me, if the choice is between continuing an ill-advised tax cut, or continuing lifesaving health insurance and food aid for those less fortunate, I will make the humanitarian choice rather than the selfish one.

    2. Michael N. +1
      Steve D. ++++1
      John S. – (A) Allow the 2017 tax cut to remain in effect for lower-middle income people, say less than $250,000 or so. Allow it to expire if you earn more than that. (B) the ‘golden dome” is a joke.

    3. John is only interested in sounding as much like his Dear Leader as possible, not in having a position on any of this based on critical thinking or research

    4. Michael, you’re right about John’s tone, but it needs some improvement. He’s got the exclamation points down pretty well, but could add a few more. The biggest missing item is to Capitalize many of The Most Important items in his Magnificent EMAIL. And you’re being ELITIST to demand he exercise Critical Thinking Skills. 😉 Sounds too much like CRT./ s
