Huse Culinary is blending two of its iconic brands in a new restaurant and bar at Indianapolis International Airport.
Starting Friday, 1933 Lounge + HC Tavern by St. Elmo will offer full-service dining and grab-and-go options for travelers in Concourse B.
The 5,200-square-foot restaurant will have seating for 189 guests and aims to create the atmosphere of an elevated cocktail lounge and modern American grill, Huse Culinary said in a news release. The space was previously occupied by Champps Americana, one of the concourse’s original tenants.
Menu offerings will include highlights from both restaurants—1933 Lounge and the HC Tavern + Kitchen—like filet sliders, lobster “Cargot” and St. Elmo’s iconic shrimp cocktail. Breakfast offerings include sandwiches, several variations of eggs Benedict and cocktails.
Opening the new restaurant will create 85 jobs, the company said. Another notable Huse brand, Harry & Izzy’s, also has a location in Concourse A.
Plans for the space were approved by the Indianapolis Airport Authority last January. The 12-year lease was expected to run through December 2036. According to filings at the time, at least $4.5 million was expected to be invested in the new restaurant.
More than 10.5 million people traveled through Indianapolis International Airport in 2024, according to data reported by the Indianapolis Airport Authority.
