Qdoba Mexican Grill, one of the original retail tenants at the 12-year-old CityWay mixed-use development, is back in business at a different CityWay space.

The fast-casual restaurant opened June 5 at 303 S. Delaware St., a 2,600-square-foot location mere steps away from 233 S. Delaware St.—where a Qdoba served customers from 2013 to 2023.

Sushi Den took over the 233 S. Delaware St. storefront in March 2024.

In addition to opening in time for NBA Finals games Wednesday and Friday at nearby Gainbridge Fieldhouse, the new Qdoba follows the December closure of a long-running location near Monument Circle.

A Qdoba operated at 9 N. Meridian St., on the first floor of the King Cole building—currently being renovated for a Motto hotel—from 1999 through 2024.

Qdoba, a chain founded in Denver in 1995, is known for its burritos, bowls and quesadillas.

Bloomington-based Goodman Construction Co. Inc. executed the interior buildout of the new Delaware Street restaurant, where grand-opening festivities are planned on June 17.

Indianapolis is home to nine Qdoba restaurants, including a downtown location at 907 Indiana Ave.
