A booming stock market benefits everyone. Especially anyone with a pension or 401k investments.
A healthy stock market will usually translate into more investments and job creation also.
A booming stock market benefits folks who are cashing out their 401ks and investments. It reduces buying power for everyone else’s contributions.
That said, everyone should be investing a small portion of their pay to a self-directed brokerage account with reasonable fees focused on acquiring low cost, low risk ETF’s. The returns will be higher than any high yield savings account or CD could ever offer

I’m not a fan of Elon Musk, but if you think he should not be rich, then why don’t you found companies like PayPal, Tesla and SpaceX and create tens of thousands of jobs for people that are not as smart as you? Most times delayed gratification will be beneficial in the future.
Troy, there are plenty of stupid rich people who squander their wealth. There are also plenty of smart, hardworking people who aren’t rich. Wealth is not a measure of intelligence.
They should earn their money and we should tax them and close the loopholes that allow them to avoid paying taxes on what they would otherwise pay without said loopholes. But the playbook for how they avoid reporting even a fraction of the income that represents their wealth is well-researched and easy to find. Or you can keep glorifying them as the best of us without questioning them, exactly what they want.

You don’t have to be smart to be rich. Just look at Trump. He inherited a ton of money from his daddy, did poorly at Wharton, committed fraudulent crimes in his business operations, and as president has ignored ethical boundaries all in his quest to be wealthy. All of this was done at the expense of other people who didn’t have the power to stop him.

Everyone sees things through their own lens. Look hard enough and you will find the evidence you are looking for to help “prove” your point of view. No different than the buyers at Target curating their inventory to suit their targeted customers while Walmart does the same.
