-Jones Lang LaSalle has been named leasing agent for the 110,600-square-foot Chamber of Commerce Building, 320 N. Meridian St. Kevin Gillihan and James Clark of JLL are the leasing representatives.
    
-Ollie’s Bargain Outlet leased 30,000 square feet of retail space in River Ridge Plaza, 1634-A Scatterfield Road, Anderson. The tenant was represented by Bobby Traynham of Rhino Realty Group. The landlord, Sandor Development, was represented by Jeff Roberts of Sandor.

-Amarr Co. leased 14,400 square feet of industrial space at 7768 Zionsville Road. The tenant was represented by Michael Weishaar of Cassidy Turley and John Ruffin of Meridian Realty Group. The landlord, Zionsville Indy LLC, was represented by Michael Napariu of REI Investments.

-Architectural Supplements LLC leased 11,555 square feet of industrial space at 7301 Georgetown Road. The tenant was represented by Joe Boarini of Quest Commercial Real Estate LLC. The landlord, Source Interlink Companies, was represented by Grant Lindley of Cassidy Turley.

Fishers man dies in I-69 wreck

October 1, 2013

A Fishers man died just after 4 p.m. Monday in a five-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 69 that closed the busy highway for almost four hours. Michael Peed, 38, was stopped in traffic, waiting to exit at 116th Street, when another driver crashed into the back of his car. Peed’s vehicle was pushed into another car before he veered and was hit by a semi. Two others suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Lanes reopened just before 9 p.m.

Two injured by flurry of bullets

November 1, 2013

A gunman or gunmen riddled a northwest-side home with at least 26 bullets at about 2:30 a.m. Friday, injuring two men in the house. Investigators say the shooting in the 1800 block of Dexter Street, just north of  West 16th Street, was likely drug-related. One victim, 26, suffered wounds in the head and leg. The other, 22, was shot in the leg. Both were hospitalized in undisclosed conditions. The shots were fired from a red compact car.

-National Distribution Centers renewed its lease for 382,612 square feet in Lebanon Business Park Building 14, 500-520 S. Enterprise Blvd., Lebanon. The tenant was represented by Mark Writt of CBRE. The landlord, Duke Realty, was represented by Duke's Jay Archer.  

-Breg Inc. leased 112,500 square feet in Plainfield Building 1, 1551 S. Perry Road, Plainfield. The tenant was represented by Keith Sant of Sant Commercial. The landlord, Duke Realty, was represented by Duke's Jay Archer.

-Guggenheim Life & Annuity Co. leased 9,687 square feet at Meridian Corporate Plaza One, 401 Pennsylvania Parkway. The tenant was represented by Kevin Gillihan of Jones Lang LaSalle. -Integrity Staffing Solutions Inc. renewed its lease for 5,504 square feet of office space at 6000 Corporate Way Drive, Building B. Suspect nabbed after break-in

November 13, 2013

A 24-year-old Noblesville man was arrested Wednesday morning after he broke into an occupied Fishers apartment in an effort to elude police. Justin Morefield was found hiding in a bedroom closet about 2 a.m. after a couple called police to tell them somebody had broken into their Sand Creek Woods apartment, near 116th Street and Cumberland Road. Police had been seeking Morefield since about 9 p.m. Tuesday, after he fled from an attempted traffic stop near 126th Street and Hoosier Road, likely because he has multiple outstanding warrants. The suspect was bitten by a police dog when he was taken into custody.
 

Future murky for Carmel’s 2-story development rule

City leaders are embroiled in a debate over the future of Range Line Road, through the heart of Carmel’s redeveloped downtown. Special density zoning rules are intended to create a consistent look and keep residents from bearing the brunt of the city’s significant infrastructure investment. The question is whether it’s working.
