Fishers police seek gunman

October 22, 2013

Fishers police are seeking a man who tried to rob a homeowner just before 7 a.m. in a neighborhood west of Allisonville Road between 96th and 106th streets. The suspect, who wore a black hoodie, approached the victim at his mailbox, said he had a gun, and demanded cash. He fled the scene when he discovered the resident had no money. Police closed several roads in the area during the search, and put two schools and a retirement home on lockdown.

IUPUI seeks financial help to overhaul Natatorium

Indianapolis has become a more bike-friendly city, and city planners are looking to ensure the progress continues. The Metropolitan Development Commission will vote Oct. 16 on a bicycle master plan that lays out a host of educational and policy initiatives to encourage two-wheeled transportation.
