Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi has hired his former legal partner and personal attorney to field public records requests.
Locally based Collignon & Dietrick PC is responsible for review and production of Prosecutor’s Office e-mails, contracts,

CNO Financial Group Inc. will resort to a sealed-bid auction to unload the lavish Hilbert mansion in Carmel, which has been
on the market for five years. Its latest asking price was $9.9 million.

-The Kroger Co. leased 40,000 square feet at 254 S. Kitley. The tenant was represented by Stan Elser of Grubb
& Ellis Harding Dahm & Co. The landlord, Kitley AB Sydney LLC, represented itself.

-Ellis Enterprises LLC leased 10,000 square feet in the Raceway Industrial Park, 1305 W. 29th St., Anderson. The tenant and
the landlord, Tower Anderson, were represented by Thomas Willey of Mathewson Willey Realty Advisors.

-CG Café leased 6,700 square feet in the Pavilion at Bargersville, 50 N. State Road 135. The owner/landlord, J&E
Anderson, was represented by Shannon Hicks and Donna Hovey of CB Richard Ellis. The tenant
represented itself.

-Indiana Compensation Rating Bureau leased 4,300 square feet at 5920 Castleway West Drive. The tenant was represented by

Family bolts home after lightning strike

July 12, 2010

A Carmel family managed to escape their home safely after lightning struck the roof just before 3 a.m. Monday, causing a
fire. Eight children and six adults were asleep in the home on Washita Court near 146th Street and Hazel Dell Parkway after
celebrating a family reunion. After the lightening hit, one of the family members noticed flames coming from the ventilation
system and put them out with a fire extinguisher.

Police: Boy safe after father kills brother

July 9, 2010

An Ohio father wanted in the death of his stepson is on the run after dropping off his son in Carmel. Zane Bedinger, 7, was
unharmed. Police say the boy was taken from Troy, Ohio, after his dad, Jeff Bedinger, killed his 22-year-old stepson, Zane’s
brother. Victim Brandon Haskins was shot multiple times. Police say Jeff Bedinger dropped his son off early Friday morning
at a friend's house in Carmel, about two hours away from Troy. Jeff Bedinger, 50, is believed to be armed and dangerous.
He was last seen in a silver Honda Accord with Ohio license plate EDT 6246. Fox59 will have more at 4 p.m.

 

Trustee sues real estate exec for $115M

July 8, 2010

The founder of an Indianapolis real estate firm is accused of preying on longtime friends to help a Miami man perpetrate a
$900 million Ponzi scheme. Sydney “Jack” Williams persuaded more than a dozen Indiana investors to lend millions
of dollars at high interest rates to a food brokerage firm called Capitol Investments USA Inc.
