The Noblesville City Council approved the bond anticipation note Tuesday to set the stage for a much larger future bond dedicated to the planned Pleasant Street expansion project.
The Indiana Historic Preservation Review Board next week will examine the plan, which would require demolishing or relocating four commercial buildings in downtown Westfield’s historic district.
The five infrastructure projects along State Roads 32 and 38, plus other road improvements, will cost $16 million and take place in two phases.
By 2022, the city and the Indiana Department of Transportation expect to begin widening a half-mile section of the thoroughfare from Shamrock Boulevard to East Street.
