Man arrested on child-molestation charge
A Coatesville man is accused of molesting and raping an 8-year-old girl. David Williams, 37, was arrested Thursday. Police said the girl’s mother contacted police, claiming he molested her daughter at his rural Hendricks County home. Investigators searched Williams' home and took several pieces of evidence into custody. He faces preliminary charges of child molestation, rape and incest.
Police arrest man after four shot
Kokomo police have arrested a suspect in connection with four shootings that left one man dead and three others injured. Police said they believe 36-year-old Turama Stitts acted alone in the crimes Wednesday and Thursday. Argena Williams, 48, was shot in the head Wednesday night and later died at the hospital. Three more shootings followed Thursday morning, leaving at least one of the victims in critical condition. Stitts faces one count of murder and three counts of attempted murder.
