Carmel-based Gaylor Inc., one of the largest electrical contractors in the Indianapolis area, said yesterday that it has acquired Griffith Group Inc. in Lafayette. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Griffith Group is an electrical, heating and cooling contractor that mainly services customers in Tippecanoe and Lake counties. The company has 25 employees. Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard revealed improvements to the city’s sewer system today. It’s one of the largest federally mandated sewer-overflow projects in the country. Ballard joined the Department of Public Works for the announcement this morning at Combined Sewer Overflow downtown. Fox 59 will have more at 10 p.m.
Indiana farmers are nearly finished planting this year’s corn crop following a wet spring marked by repeated planting delays.
