Lebanon gas leak prompts evacuation

September 27, 2011

Residents of the Chadwick subdivision in Lebanon were evacuated Tuesday morning due to the rupture of a gas main just east of Elizaville and Elm Swamp roads. About 50 homes were affected in a two-block area after construction crews ruptured the line about 9:15 a.m. A shelter was being set up for displaced residents at the Lebanon Armory.

-S&B Construction Group is building out a 6,400-square-foot space for an Advance Auto Parts store at 2334 E. Stop 11 Road. The project is scheduled to be completed in October.

-Capitol Construction Services has completed a 2,500-square-foot build out for Stonegate Mortgage in South Park Business Center, 1499 Windhorst Way, Suite 200, Greenwood.

-Duke Realty was selected to complete a 214,000-square-foot build out for Skjodt-Barrett Foods at 401 South Enterprise Boulevard, Lebanon. The project is scheduled to be finished in October.

Gas leak prompts evacuation in Fishers

Eighty Fishers homes were evacuated for about an hour Wednesday after a gas line was accidentally cut. Construction crews were widening Olio Road just north of 96th Street when they hit the line. Olio Road between 96th and 104th streets was closed so Vectren could repair the leak.
