-McCallan Properties LLC bought the 77-unit Eastgate Terrace Apartments, 7036 E. 10th St., for $1 million. The buyer was represented by Chad Stickley of Marcus & Millichap. The sellers, Jim and Pat Candler, were represented by Scott Pollom of Cassidy Turley.

-Clary Crossing Senior Villas LP bought 12.75 acres in The Enclave subdivision at Stones Crossing Road and State Road 135, Greenwood. The price wasn’t disclosed. The seller, Fifth Third Bank, and buyer were represented by Jim Shook, Jon Hardy and Andrew Schrage of Coldwell Banker Commercial.

-Hien Nguyen bought a former Bob Evans Restaurant building at 4760 W. 38th St. The price wasn’t disclosed. The buyer was represented by Mitchell Andrews of Andrews Realtors. The seller, Bob Evans Farms, was represented by Michael Cranfill of Sitehawk Retail Real Estate.

Assault charges filed in Jillian’s fight

Police are investigating a fight reported early Monday at Jillian’s in downtown Indianapolis. About 90 people were inside the restaurant/bar/entertainment center at 141 S. Meridian St. for a wake when a fight broke out just before 3 a.m. Detectives said 25-year-old Corey Andrews hit another man on the head with a bowling ball; he was arrested for aggravated assault. All told, three people were treated for injuries. Investigators believe some attendees were involved in a serious auto accident on East New York Street a short time later. One person was hospitalized in critical condition, but has since been upgraded to good condition. Alcohol is believed to have played a role in the crash.

Man shot to death in car

May 17, 2011

Police are investigating a homicide that occurred about 4 a.m. Tuesday in the 3900 block of Narrowleaf Court near 38th Street and German Church Road on the northeast side of Indianapolis. Corey Andrews, 26, of Indianapolis was shot multiple times while sitting in a vehicle with a female in the driveway of a vacant residence. The shooter fled on foot. Andrews died at the scene. The female inside the car was not injured.
