Police say a man walking along Interstate 65 near Whiteland was struck and killed Wednesday night, causing closure of northbound sections of the highway for two hours. The man was hit north of the Tracy Road/County Road 600 North overpass about 10 miles south of Indianapolis. Authorities have released no details about the man and why he was on the highway.
A man was taken into custody Thursday morning following a SWAT incident at an east-side residence.
