A theater near you
As many of you know, IBJ was one of the hosts of a sneak preview of
this film just a few days before its opening. And while this may not be anything like your father’s—or even grandfather’s—Holmes,
it is a rollicking adventure in the “National Treasure” vein. While there’s little chemistry between Holmes
(Robert Downey Jr.) and the underwritten Irene (Rachel McAdams), the sense of lifelong friendship between the sleuth and his
doctor pal Watson is palpable. “Sherlock Holmes” may not discover anything new, plot-wise, but it’s sure
fun along the way. For future ticket giveaways, watch this page and pay frequent visits to IBJ’s arts and entertainment
blog Lou Harry’s A&E.
