Dr. Nicole King, an OBGYN, has joined Hendricks Regional Health at its New Life Associates practices in Brownsburg and Danville. She received her medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine.

St. Vincent Medical Group officials have added four physicians in Indianapolis specializing in critical care, pulmonary and sleep medicine. Dr. Edward Mintz, a pulmonologist, received his medical degree from Technion Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel. Dr. Moayyed Moallem, a pulmonologist and sleep medicine specialist, received his medical degree from the University Of Damascus School Of Medicine in Syria. Dr. Michael Shapiro, a pulmonologist, received his medical degree from the University of South Florida. Dr. Brent Toney, a pulmonologist, completed his degree in osteopathic medicine from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Hendricks Regional Health in Danville named Yvonne Culpepper, a registered nurse, its chief operations officer in addition to her role as chief nursing officer. Culpepper earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing and master’s degree in nursing administration from Indiana University. She earned a doctor of nursing practice degree from Purdue University.

Dr. Gordon Reed, has been named chief medical officer at Hendricks Regional Health. Reed earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of Illinois and completed his medical training at the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Dr. Brian Brewer, a trauma surgeon, has joined the trauma center at IU Health Methodist Hospital. He most recently worked at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. Brewer earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College.

Dr. Peter Hammer, a trauma surgeon, has joined the trauma center at IU Health Methodist Hospital. He most recently worked at the Los Angeles County and University of Southern California Medical Center. Hammer, a retired commander from the U.S. Navy and a veteran of the war in Afghanistan, earned his medical degree at Wayne State University.

Dr. Ben Zarzaur, a trauma surgeon, has joined trauma center at IU Health Methodist Hospital. He most recently was a professor of surgery and preventative medicine at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. Zarzaur earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama.

Community Health Network hired Wayne Pack as its chief human resources officer, replacing Jill Parris, who is retiring at the end of the year. Pack previously was senior vice president for human resources in the Americas division of Indianapolis-based Brightpoint North America, and before that was vice president of worldwide human resources at Carmel-based Thomson. Pack holds a bachelor’s degree from Tennessee Technological University.

Dr. David Williams has been named president of the west region of Community Health Network. Williams has held numerous leadership positions at Community Westview Hospital, including chief physician executive and chief of staff. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in Athens and a doctor of osteopathy degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.

Sarah Knisely-King, a registered nurse, has been named chief operating officer and chief nursing executive for Community Health Network’s south region. She was most recently director of emergency services at Community Hospital South. Knisely-King holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Purdue University and a master’s degree in nursing administration from Lewis University.

Hendricks Regional Health Medical Group has hired Dr. Julia Ruckman, an OB/GYN, as part of its Westside Physicians for Women practice in Avon. Ruckman holds a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Dr. Frances Russell has joined Wishard-Eskenazi Health in emergency medicine. She received her undergraduate degree from Iona College and medical degree from the University of Wisconsin.

Dr. Constantine Albany has joined Wishard-Eskenazi Health in its special medicine oncology clinic. He received his medical degree from Techreen University in Syria.
 
Dr. Zachary Kahler has joined Wishard-Eskenazi Health in emergency medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from Carnegie Mellon University and medical degree from the University of Arizona.

Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health has chosen Russell Williams as its next chief operating officer, replacing Brett Lee, who left suddenly two years ago. Williams will join Riley on July 15 after serving most recently as vice president of operations at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Minnesota. He previously oversaw construction of a children’s hospital for Fairview Health Services, which includes the University of Minnesota academic medical center. Williams earned a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and a master's of healthcare administration from the University of Minnesota.

Dr. John Chappo, a hospitalist who cares for patients staying overnight in hospitals, has joined Danville-based Hendricks Regional Health. He holds a bachelor’s in biochemistry from Indiana University and an osteopathic medicine degree from the Kansas City University School of Medicine and Biosciences.

Dr. Thomas McAllister has been named chairman of the department of psychiatry at Indiana University School of Medicine. McAllister is currently vice chairman for neuroscience in the department of psychiatry at Dartmouth Medical School. McAllister received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Dartmouth.

Eskenazi Health appointed Dr. Mark Bustamante to manage primary care in Eskenazi’s community health centers throughout Indianapolis. Bustamante will serve as CEO of the newly designated Eskenazi Health Center federally qualified health center, formerly the division of primary care at Wishard Health Services. Wishard changed its name to Eskenazi Health this year.

Gary Everling has been named vice president of strategy and business development for Hendricks Regional Health in Danville. Everling holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Greenville College and an MBA from the University of Indianapolis. He has been in health care administration since 1998 and most recently served as system executive of business development for Indianapolis-based hospital system St. Vincent Health.

Fort Wayne-based Medical Informatics Engineering appointed Craig Mathison as vice president of finance. He most recently served as chief financial officer and president at Felderman Design-Build in Fort Wayne.

St. Vincent Health named Julie Carmichael as its chief strategy officer for the 22-hospital system, starting Dec. 31. Carmichael succeeds Kevin Speer, who left St. Vincent in November to become CEO of Hendricks Regional Health in Danville. Carmichael worked the past 19 years as CEO of the Suburban Health Organization, a partnership of several Indianapolis-area hospital systems, including St. Vincent Health. She holds a bachelor’s degree Stanford University and an MBA from Indiana University.

Dr. Jonathan Ting, an otolaryngologist, has joined Wishard Health Services. He received his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario.

Dr. David K. Booth, a family medicine physician, has joined Community Physicians Network, a subsidiary of Indianapolis-based Community Health Network, after practicing privately in Meadville, Pa. He earned his medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Hospital in Harrisburg, Pa.

Dr. Michael DaRosa, a primary care sports medicine physician, has joined Community Physician Network in Greenwood. He completed his medical degree at Des Moines College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Vin Gupta, a pediatric hospitalist, has joined Community Hospital North in the Castleton neighborhood. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio.

Dr. Syeda Naqvi, a geriatrician, has joined Community Physician Network. She completed her medical degree at Sind Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan.

Dr. Nicole Zulkowski, a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician, has joined the Community Spine Center in Greenwood. She earned her medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Union Health System Inc. in Terre Haute named Patrick S. Board as its CEO.  Board succeeds David Doerr, who announced his retirement earlier this year. Board has been CEO of Union Health’s physician group, called Union Associated Physicians Clinic LLC, in Terre Haute. Starting Jan. 1, Board will oversee both the Union physician practice and Union Hospital, which will continue to be led by Scott Teffeteller. Board received a bachelor’s degree in business from the College of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn., and a master’s degree in hospital and healthcare administration from the University of Minnesota.

Kevin Speer, chief strategy officer of the St. Vincent Health hospital system, will become CEO of Danville-based Hendricks Regional Health on Nov. 19. Speer will replace Dr. John Sparzo, who has been serving as interim CEO since the retirement in May of Dennis Dawes, who had led Hendricks Regional for 38 years. Speer, an attorney, worked for the Indianapolis law firm Hall Render Killian Heath & Lyman before joining St. Vincent in 2006. He holds a law degree from Valparaiso University and a bachelor’s from Purdue University. In addition to its hospital in Danville, Hendricks Regional operates health care facilities in Avon, Bainbridge, Brownsburg, Lizton and Plainfield.

Dr. Stacy Williams has joined the medical staff at Danville Pediatrics, which is part of the Danville-based Hendricks Regional Health hospital system. Williams earned her medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Dr. Tony GiaQuinta has joined Hendricks Regional Health’s group of pediatric hospitalists. GiaQuinta is a graduate of Wabash College and the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Dr. Samir Ginde has joined the adult hospitalist group at Hendricks Regional Health. Ginde holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Tufts University, a master’s degree in nutrition from Columbia University, and a medical degree from the Ross University School of Medicine.

The Community Physician Network, which is part of Indianapolis hospital system Community Health Network, added 14 orthopedic surgeons by acquiring two practices: the Sports Medicine Institute of Indiana and the Indiana Orthopedic Center. Community now has 19 orthopedic surgeons. The new surgeons are:  Dr. Louis Angelicchio, Dr. Herbert Biel, Dr.  Andrew Combs, Dr. Melton Doxey, Dr. Richard Eaton, Dr. Gregory Estes, Dr. Brett Fink, Dr. Ralph Kahn, Dr. Douglas Kuhn, Dr. Eric Leaming, Dr. Philip Sailer, Dr. Jon Sieber, Dr. Edward Todderud and Dr. Frank Wilson.
