The area that includes the Fletcher Place neighborhood and the southeast corner of downtown is one of the hottest parts of Indianapolis, yet it’s included in a federal program designed to spur investments in poor neighborhoods.
The craft distiller is partnering on the project with Indianapolis-based Jackson Investment Group, which this summer acquired the 10,300-square-foot building where the tasting room will operate.
The new tasting room will feature craft cocktails made exclusively with 1205 Distillery spirits, plus local beers and wine options.
Three chefs will take up residency at the kitchen for one to two years, showcasing their food, gaining business skills, and building a local following in preparation for moving on to open their own locations.
